Richard Gorycki

In 1979, when he was 33 years old, Richard Gorycki suffered a nervous breakdown and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. From 1985 to 1995, he took art therapy classes at Gowanda Psychiatric Center in western New York. Gorycki's wide range of interests as a youth, such as economics, Sanskrit, Vedic philosophy, and European art, all hover in the background of his unique introverted vision.
