American artist/photographer Melissa Shook (1939-2022) engaed in pioneering self-portrait project to explore intimate female identity in the early 1970s in photography. Accompanying our first solo exhibition to celebrate the artist's legacy, this publicaion illustrates over 40 images from her acclaimed Daily Self-Portraits 1972-1973 as well as recently discovered nudes. The preface was written by Krisina Shook, the artist's daughter who represents The Estate of M. Melissa Shook and the subject of Shook's another well-known series Krissy.
