Yojiro IMASAKA captures highly-detailed images of a universal landscape on a large format negative. In the darkroom, he performs delicate toning and other alterations that create a distinctive custom hue. Originally from Hiroshima, Japan, he lives and works in New York City. His work is in the permanent collection of Minneapolis Institute of Art, Carnegie Museum of Art, San Jose Museum of Art and Mead Art Museum, all in USA. In addition to his solo exhibitions at our gallery, Imasaka's work has been featured in art fairs such as Paris Photo (Paris), Zonamaco (Mexico City), UNSEEN (Amsterdam), and PGH Photo Fair (Pittsburgh).
