MIYAKO YOSHINAGA Featured in AIPAD Exposure

MIYAKO YOSHINAGA is pleased to share a recent Dealer Feature published in Exposure, the newsletter of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD).

In the interview, Miyako Yoshinaga reflects on Rose Farrell and George Parkin's The Black Madonna (La Madonna Negra) (1989), from their series Miserable Pleasures and Glorious Mysteries. Recalling her first encounter with the artists in New York in 1999, she discusses the photograph's theatrical imagery, cultural references, and personal significance, including its unexpected connection to her involvement in the Japanese edition of bell hooks's Ain't I a Woman.
