This is the original maquette for the publication "with."
"with" is Ken Ohara’s photographic series of one-hour-exposure portraits of strangers, creating a new identity for each subject in their final form. The traditional evaluations we make of a portrait are lost in the blur of a passing hour. The blurred outlines of a person's head and body take on a new power in their loss of detail, and the surrounding objects that frame each sitter give a context for identity. Ohara’s collective subjects create a wry and melancholy portrait of the absent artist.
