Kohala Coast are monotype prints based on photo slides from the 1980s taken by Clark’s grandfather at his house that resonate closely with the artist’s childhood memories. Creating monotypes from the photographic compositions defined Clark's aspiration for his landscape to present a timeless connection of his homeland after generations, which became a spiritual process that allowed Clark to follow the footsteps of his grandfather’s while adapting the image into his own language.
