MIYAKO YOSHINAGA is pleased to present Spectrum of Vivid Moments, a solo exhibition by Manika Nagare, a Tokyo-based artist.
Nagare applies multiple layers of unmixed colors onto the canvas, conveying shifting differences in light and perspective. Her powerfully sophisticated work strives to elicit vivid moments of all human life.
This exhibition will also introduce Nagare's new project Track of Colors, inspired by the works of Japanese female artists of the last century who were active but marginalized in society.
The exhibition opens on March 17 and runs through April 22, 2023. An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, March 17, 6-8 PM. The exhibition is an official program of Asia Week New York 2023 and is on view every day from March 17 to March 24, 11 AM - 6 PM.
