This work stands out with its bold calligraphic motifs. One day Joo Myung Duck noticed the graffiti near his home in Seoul and appropriated it for his photo abstraction experiment. Channeling the graffiti’s bold shapes and black/blue colors, and placing a large void in the center with the motifs split to the left and right, this work creates a whimsical space of suspended feeling.
